Studies built from real runs

Each example uses public footage and a scene from the guides. The figures come from what CV-Scope stored for the run; each page names the detector and the commit that produced them, and shows how to repeat the run.

Route choice, corridor sample

Which way do people go after the entrance?

An entrance gate, two exit gates and two routes. Route shares, decision time, and the same scene run again with a smaller detector to show what changing one condition does.

YOLO11m and ByteTrack, 27 events

  • Route A 2
  • Route B 1

3 people passed the entrance gate; 3 completed a route, with a mean decision time of 1.03 s.

Counting by class, car-park sample

How many people, bicycles and cars cross each line?

Two lines, three classes, both directions, and why a cyclist counts as a person and as a bicycle.

YOLO11m and ByteTrack, 8 crossings

West edge 3 crossings

person 1
bicycle 0
car 2

East edge 5 crossings

person 3
bicycle 2
car 0

Occupancy and dwell, corridor sample

How long do people stay, and how many at once?

Every visit to a zone with its length, and the number of people inside at each moment of the clip.

The zone of the route-choice scene

0123
0 s10 s20 s30 s40 s

Centre floor: 7 completed visits, the longest 2.4 s, mean 1.4 s; at most 3 people inside at once; occupied for 7.4 s of the 49.7 s clip.

Across cameras, MEVA dataset

Following people across eight cameras

Eight synchronised cameras around a school building, placed on a site plan, with each move between cameras scored against travel times, topology and a door sensor.

A set-up, not a result

Turns at a junction

Put an entry gate across the approach and a gate on each exit, then create one route from the entry to each exit and track cars, trucks, buses and motorcycles. The results page then reports vehicles per hour, turns by route, the distribution of vehicle types, and unknown or incomplete tracks.

The sample videos contain no junction, so this page shows the set-up rather than a run. Calibrate the scene to report speeds in metres per second.
